Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy services at St. Lawrence are designed to maximize functional independence in daily living from basic self-care and home management to return to work and community life. Comprehensive services are patient-centered and treat a vast array of conditions through therapeutic exercise and modalities, neurorehabilitation, upper extremity programs including stretching, strengthening and coordination, perceptual skills training, cognitive rehabilitation, vision therapy and functional activities of daily living. The Occupational Therapy Department includes an ADL Apartment for practicing with adaptive equipment equipment and techniques, Driver Rehabilitation training area as well as a fully equipped gym area complete with Cybex equipment.

Occupational Therapy offers specialized programs with highly skilled clinicians that have certifications and specialized training to tailor a program to meet each individual's unique needs and goals. State licensed and nationally certified staff have highly specialized training in cognitive and vision rehab and often work in conjunction with a neuro-optometrist.
